Waffles from Five Roses Cookbook

1 - 1/4 cups all-purpose flour2 teaspoons baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1 tablespoon sugar1 - 1/4 cups milk (2%)4 tablespoons vegetable oil (crisco)2 egg yolks, well beaten2 egg whites
yield 4 to 6 servings
Stir flour, baking powder, salt, sugar together. Combine milk and vegetable oil with beaten egg yolks, add to dry ingredients and stil only until blender. Beat egg white, until stiff but not dry, fold into batter. Cook on hot waffle iron.
