Creamy Broccoli Lasagna

Ingredients
6 Dreamfield lasagna noodles cooked1/3 cup chopped onion2 Tablespoons olive oil1/3 cup flour3/4 teaspoon garlic powder1/4 teaspoon dried thyme2.5 cups 1% milk6 cups fresh broccoli chopped1.5 cups low fat cottage cheese
Directions
In a large saucepan, saute onion in oil until tender. Add the flour, garlic powder, and thyme; stir until blended. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add broccoli; cook for 3-5 minutes. Stir in cottage cheese.
In a 13-in x 9-in x 2in baking dish, coated with nonstick cooking spray, layer 3 cooked noodles and 1/2 of the sauce. Repeat for the next layer. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. or untl bubbly and broccoli is tender. . Bake uncovered 5 minutes longer. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Yields 8 servings.

    Thought it was bland as well. It has a great foundation but needs more. I added cheese but I think slices of tomato on top with cheese melted on top would be a nice touch. The pp I agree with about adding more herbs. Otherwise not a bad dish, just needs something else.. - 2/6/10

    Great concept but a little bland...

    I would add TONS of spices (I havent figured out which ones yet) but for sure some garlic salt... I used low fat ricotta instead of cottage cheese (because I despise that stuff lol)...
