Amaretto Vanilla French Toast with Strawberries

6 medium slices of Italian (Scali) bread1/4 cup nonfat milk1 fl oz Amaretto liqueur1 tbsp pure vanilla extract2 large eggs, beaten4 extra large strawberries, slicedCooking spray as needed
Combine beaten eggs, milk, Amaretto and vanilla and whisk until well blended. Dip bread slice into mixture until well coated and let excess drip off.
Place slices into a cooking pan heated on medium heat and coated with cooking spray. Cook on one side until egg mixture is no longer wet and flip onto other side.
Serve warm and top with sliced strawberries. Also nice topped with a bit of whipped cream, sugar-free syrup, or agave nectar.
