Italian Beef made with salad dressing

Ingredients
2 c. diet Italian salad dressing1 can diced green chili peppers 3 lbs beef roast2 c. onions, sliced in wedges from top to bottom
Directions
Spray crockpot with Pam. Layer roast, then chilis, then onions. Pour salad dressing over all. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Take meat and onions from pot and let it cool for a bit. Tear the meat up with two forks. Strain the juices, discarding the solids. Add the juices to the meat. It stays moist and delicious that way. Serve on a hard roll or, the way I like it, between two leaves of iceburg lettuce.
