Ingredients
Directions
Adapted from Betty Crocker's Butterscotch Brownies1/4 cup Canola Oil1/2 Cup granulated sugar1/2 cup unsweetend applesauce1 teaspoon vanilla2 tablespoons lowfat milk (or could substitute soymilk for allergies)1 large egg (or egg substitute for allergies)1 cup whole grain white flour (or brown rice flour for allergies)1/3 cup cocoa (I used hersheys dark)1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt (I used idoized because I like to bake with it)
1. Preheat Oven to 350. Grease bottom of 8 x 8 with cooking spray.
2. In mixing bowl stir in oil, sugar, applesauce, vanilla, milk and egg. Then add in the remaining ingredients to the ligiud mixture.
3. Bake for about 25 minutes or until toothpick (not knife because it damages too much) comes out clean.
4. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before cutting.
Make about 12-16 brownies depending on size and density.

I used skim milk, egg beaters and whole wheat flour and they turned out great... I also used a recipe for healthy icing so I iced the top of them... basically use 1 cup of skim milk, 1 4oz thing of instant chocolate pudding and 1 8oz container of fat free cool whip and mix it all together. - 2/6/11

Yeah it's made from a white wheat plant, it's milder and not as dense.
