1 box bowtie pasta2 tbls olive oil1 lb sweet italian sausage (hot works also)1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes3 cloves garlic minced1/2 c diced onion1 can diced tomatoes drained1 1/2 c half and half or heavy cream1/2 tsp salt
boil and drain pasta
fry onion, red pepper, garlic and sausage in oil. add tomatos and cream. simmer until thickened add to pasta

We really liked this recipe. I wasn't sure what size can of diced tomatoes to use, so I bought the smaller, typical size can. It came out good. I would turn down the stove before adding the cream to avoid curdling. We used hot turkey sausage and 1 Tbsp of oil instead of 2. This had a nice kick! - 4/5/09
