Chicken with Broccoli (stir fry)

Ingredients
1/3 cup soy sauce1/3 cup cooking sherry4 tsp brown sugar2 cloves garlic1 tsp ginger2 tsp corn strarch1 1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast1 tbsp canola oil2 bunches broccoli, chopped1 lg onion, chopped
Directions
Makes approximately 6 servings

Combine first 6 ingredients. Cut chicken into bite sized pieces and marinate in sauce for at least 1/2 hour. Drain chicken, reserving marinade. Heat 1/2 of the oil in a wok or large pan. Stir fry chicken in 2 batches to prevent crowding. Remove from pan and set aside when chicken is browned.

Add broccoli and onion to the wok and stir fry for 1 minute. add 1/4 cup water, coer and steam until broccoli reaches desired doneness. Return chicken to wok and add the sauce. Cook about 5 minutes more, stirring frequently.

Serve over rice or noodles of your choice.
