Simply Scrumptious Sea Scallops

Ingredients
6 Sea Scallops, fresh or frozen2 Tbsps whipped salted butter20z fresh bread crumbs2 Tbsp chopped fresh herbs such as tarragon, dill, basil, thyme or a mixture of your favorites.juice of 1 lemonfresh grated parmesan cheese(optional)
Directions

melt butter and add bread crums to brown, set aside
squeeze lemon and set juice aside
Place scallops in a small oven proof casserole and sprinkle juice, herbs and crumbs on top.
Place in 375 F degree oven on center rack and bake until scallops are opaque and fully cooked to taste. Approximately eight to ten minutes. Check after five minutes,
Do not overcook.
Grate fresh parmesan or other favorite cheese to taste.
salt and white or black pepper can be added at the table if desired.
