melt butter, add flour, stir with wire whisk, brown flour & butter until golden brown, slowly add broth 2 oz. at a time, stiring throughly after each addition, heat to boiling, serve

This needs A LOT more broth than it calls for and it just doesn't have the flavor I was expecting. I'd say maybe I didn't follow the instructions properly, but it was kind of hard to mess that up. It just wasn't what I was expecting/hoping for. I'd add pepper, too. Give it a bit more flavor. - 10/4/15

this was so easy, i used this recipe in a pinch when i didnt have any gravy mix. i served it over mashed potatoes and it was a hit! i did add a little onion powder and pepper for a little more flavor but it would have been fine without any additions. i wll use the recipe for years to come. thankyou! - 1/20/13
