These were great! I did bake them for 35 minutes and probably could've gone 5-10 minutes more. I serve them with a side of bbq sauce and it was very yummy! I mixed up the oil and seasonings in a big ziploc bag and threw the cut up potatoes in there, closed it, and shook it up. Easy way to coat them! - 12/29/08

I had made baked swweet potato fries before, but the seasoning blend in this recipe was phenomenal! Thanks for sharing the recipe. - 1/20/09

I've made these many times now, and each time it's still ridiculously good. Everyone loves them. I leave out the salt and double the chili powder. Cut them thin and make sure they're not touching on the pan to get them crispy around the edges (still softer than regular fries, but oh so good). - 7/1/09

Delicious. Made as suggested except I cut the sweet potatoes into rounds. Will definitely make again! - 7/20/08

I make thin rounds and "fry" them on my stove top griddle or in the George Foreman thing. I use cooking spray and season with a mix of ground Chipotle pepper and a little salt. Yum! - 7/2/08

These were great and my 19 month old and hubby loves them! I baked for an extra 6 minutes to get them a little crispier.:) - 10/26/09

I made these as a side dish for my Christmas luncheon and they were amazing! I put them on the bottom at 350 for 25 min (only because I had a brisket cooking on top) then moved them to the top rack at 450 for another ten min. They were pretty crispy and didn't burn at all! Thanks for the recipe! - 12/26/08

This recipe is tasty and delicious. I'm not a big sweet potato fan, but this was really good! It's a new regular in our menus. - 1/20/09

Great side. I didn't have onion powder so I replaced with garlic and still came out great. Thanks! - 3/15/09

We liked these fries. They do take about double the time listed to get even a little crispy, though so take that into account when you're making them. - 6/30/08

these were amazing. I baked them longer to get them crispy & added more chipotle chili pepper to give them more kick! - 3/6/09

yummy! Had tried to make sweet potato fries before with varying success, but these were delicious! Great spice combination (left out the onion powder) and went wonderfully with the portabella mushroom 'burgers' that on gluten free bread for me and me celiac friend! - 2/27/09

I make sweet potatoes like this cut into rounds instead of fries. Usually I just use garlic and chili powder but I might have to try it with cumin next time. I never really liked sweet potatoes until I tried them this way. - 2/24/09

As a amateur bodybuilder and trainer, i am always looking for lower glycemic fast burning carbs and this has always been one of my favorties. - 12/23/08

I haven't tried this yet, but it certainly looks/sounds delicious. I just have a general complaint.

You've taken the time to share this recipe, and you get comments like "I liked it, but I switched this for that."

I've seen this on many other shared recipes. Leave the originals!!! - 7/1/13

if you put egg white in a bag and coat the potatoes before you put on the spice they crisp up like they are deep fried!! So delicious!! - 10/9/12

I found the Cumin over powering. Will only use 1/2 tsp next time and try adding some garlic powder. Otherwise this was a great substitute for fries. - 1/13/11

YUMMY! My husband even liked these and he says he doesn't like sweet potatoes. Had to put the potatoes under the broiler a bit to crisp make them crispy. - 7/6/10

Excellent, but not spicy enough. I added hot pepper flakes and that did the trick. - 3/27/09

An awesome recipe! I definitely improvised on the seasoning, added some garlic, omitted the onion powder and chili powder, but added tobasco sauce. I cut the potato so there was some skin on every piece and that helped with the crunch. - 1/9/09

I tried these and they were awesome. Next time I will try the ziplock bag idea. My kids loved it and I couldn't stop snacking on them! - 1/6/09

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM!! Doing these more often! - 11/26/08

Add 1-2T of Paprika for added color and flavor, and 1T garlic powder. My kids love these! I used to get the Alexa frozen sweet potato oven fries, which my kids loved, but they tell me that these are even better. I'm surprised at how easy these are, too. Adding to the make-frequently list! - 5/18/14
