Ingredients
2-3 cups whole wheat rotini pasta1lb turkey ground1/2 llb ground sausage1 15 oz can diced unsalted tomatoes1 15 oz can unsalted tomato sauce1 4 oz can unsalted tomato sauce (if needed)1/2 onion3 garlic cloves1 tsp sea salt1 tbls pepper2 tbsp garlic powder2 tbsp oregano2 bay leaves
Directions
Ground up ground turkey and ground breakfast sausage add seasonings along with diced onions and diced onion cloves and bay leaves. Let meat brown. Once meat has browned add canned tomatoes and tomato sauce. Allow flavors to simmer for about 20 minutes then add pasta and let cook for about 20 minutes or until pasta is soft. Makes approx. 10-15 1/2 cup servings. Great meal for pot lucks and leftovers. Add in ideas: Add corn, okra or any vegitables you desire.
