1 to 2 lbs. stew beef (1.33 lbs. pkg used in calculations)1 small clove garlic, minced3/4 cup ketchup2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce1 tbsp. brown sugar2 tsp salt2 tsp paprika1/2 tsp dry mustarddash cayenne pepper1 1/2 cups water2 tbsp. flour1/4 cup water
Brown beef and garlic in skillet. Stir in ketchup, worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt, paprika, mustard, cayenne and 1 1/2 cups water. Cover and simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hours (or crockpot on low for afternoon).
Blend flour with 1/4 cup water; stir gradually into meat mixture. heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 2 minute. Serve over rice.
