Ingredients
Directions
3c. oats8 scoops of protein powder3/4c almond or peanut butter1.5c skim milk2 egg whites2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt (optional)1c. dark chocolate chips (optional)2 ripe bananas (also optional - makes bars moist, and more palatable than without)
blend together protein powder, butter, milk, egg whites, backing powder, salt, and bananas until smooth.
add in chocolate chips just until blended.
add in oats 1c at a time, blending thoroughly after each addition.
pour into lightly oiled pan (i use a 9 x 11" pan) and bake in a 350F oven until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
allow to cool in the pan, slice into 16 pieces, and freeze or store in the fridge. (about 20' at high altitude).
because these bars have no preservatives, they will get moldy within about 3 days if left at room temperature.
