Pumpkin soup

Ingredients
2 tbsp. butter1 onion, diced2 stalks chopped celery2 carrots, chopped3 small red potatoes. 2 tbsp. flour1 tsp. pepper4 c. clear chicken broth1 c. pumpkin (puree)1 tsp. sugar
Directions
Chop into small pieces and saute onion, celery and carrots in butter in soup pot. Add flour, broth, pumpkin, pepper, sugar. Simmer for 45 minutes. For variation instead of serving plain as above, some type of noodle or potato can be added directly to soup while simmering. Nice and hearty for winter suppers.
