Ingredients
95 g (1/8 cup plus 2/3 cup) whole wheat flour 110 g (1 cup) oat bran 45 g (1/2 cup) ground flax seed240g (1-1/4 cups) sugar56g (7/8 cup) cocoa powder (1/2+1/4+1/8 cup)1 tsp. salt1-1/2 tsp. baking soda1 tsp. baking powder3 eggs1-2/3 cups buttermilk1-1/2 cups canned pumpkin1/8 cup oil1 tsp. vanilla1 cup Hershey's special dark chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray 24 muffin cups with non-stick spray. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients. In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients. Stir the wet into the dry just until smooth. Add chocolate chips and stir to mix. Do not overmix. Divide batter among the muffin cups. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until just done. Do not over-bake. Makes 24 muffins.

    I substituted plain yogurt for the buttermilk, not too sure how much it changes the reipe but they were very good and moist and the chocolate flavor was excellent - 6/12/09
