Mystic's Roasted Turkey with Stuffing

Ingredients
18-22 lb turkey1 stick butter1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon pepper1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning1 teaspoon Morton's Nature Seasoning1 medium onion1 box stove top stuffing2 slices white or wheat bread1 egg1/2 water1/4 green pepper1 lb package mushrooms1 celery stick
Directions
Wash turkey and empty the cavity of turkey. Wash inside of turkey as well. Place turkey breast side up in turkey pan. Fill with stuffing (recipe below). Slice butter and place on turkey all around. Sprinkle turkey with salt, pepper, poultry seasoning and garlic powder. I also use Nature's seasoning by Morton to sprinkle on in addition to above ingrediants. Cover completely with alluminum foil and then place turkey pan top on to seal in flavor.

Stuffing Recipe

Open Stovetop box stuffing, and put into a medium to large size bowl. Take 2 slices of white bread or wheat bread and tear apart in little pieces to add to stuffing mixture. Cut up onion into chunks and place in mixture, stir. Cut up green pepper in small chunks as well as celery stick and place into bowl with stuffing. Mix well adding garlic powder, salt, pepper and nature's seasoning as well as poultry seasoning. Wash mushrooms well and slice in half if they are whole. Add to mixture and stir. Add egg and water, mix and stir completely until moist.
Take a large spoon and add mixture to inside of turkey prior to covering.

Bake approximately 4 hours or according to turkey wrapper and poundage.
