Chicken n spelt dumplings

Ingredients
About 1/2 of chicken from a roasted chicken6 cups of chicken stock1 onion, chopped3 cloves garlic sliced2 large potatoes (what ever veggies you have on hand)2 cups whole spelt2 tsp baking powder1 tsp salt1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
Directions
makes about 8 one cup servings

put chicken stock in a pot, add chicken, veggies, garlic, heat over medium heat til veggies get tender.
mix spelt, baking powder, salt and almond milk in a bowl. let sit while soup is heating. When veggies are tender. Drop biscuit dough with a large spoon on to soup, drop in 8 spoonfuls. Cover and continue heating for about 10 min, until the biscuits are steamed thru. Serve with one dumpling in each bowl.
