Super Low Fat Granola Cereal

Ingredients
8 cups old fashioned oats1 cup raisins1/2 c. chopped dried appricots1/2 c. dried cranberries1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar1/2 cup water1 tsp salt1 tsp maple extract - I add extra1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Makes 9 cups
18 1/2 cup servings.
In a large bowl, combine the oats, raisins, appricots and cranberries, set aside. In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, waer and salt. Cook and stir over a medium heat for 3 or 4 minutes or until the brown sugar is dissoved. Remove from the heat, stir in the extracts. Pour over oat mixture, stir to coat. transfer to two grease 15" x 10" x 1" baking pan. Bake 350 for 20-30 minutes or until crisp, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool completelyon wire racks. Store in air tight containers. Serve with Milk or Yogurt.

You can add walnuts, pecan or any of your favorites, but it will increase the calorie count.

I like to add golden rasins, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and almonds.
