Butter, unsalted, 2 tbsp (remove)Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)Garlic, 3 clove (remove)Ginger, ground, 1 tsp (remove)Shrimp, raw, 70 large (remove)Salt, 1 dash (remove)Pepper, black, .5 tsp (remove)Pepper, red or cayenne, .5 tsp (remove)Regular Beer, 7 fl oz (remove)*Ketchup, Heinz, 9 tbsp (remove)Granulated Sugar, 3 tsp (remove)Cornstarch, .0625 cup (remove)Water, tap, .0625 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)
Melt butter in hot skillet. Add onion, garlic and ginger and heat for about 30 seconds. Add shrimp and salt. Cook for about 5 minutes...until shrimp begins to turn pink on the outside. Add Peppers, beer, ketchup and sugar and bring to a boil for about 5 minutes or until shrimp is cooked through. Mix cornstarch and water and add to mixture. Cook until the sauce has thickened.
Serve on top of brown rice.
