Oven Baked Apples

Ingredients
2 medium sweeter apples, such as Granny Smith or Rome. Our favorite is HoneyCrisp1/4 cup of raisins 1 tables spoon of brown sugar1/2 teaspoon of cinnamin1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg1/4-1/2 cup of apple juiceServing over ice cream is optional
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Core apples and peel the skin off just the the top of the apple. Place apples in a oven safe casserole dish. 2 quart works well. In another bowl, combine raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg. Spoon mixture into apple centers and pour apple juice over apples. Bake the apples at 350 for 40 -45 minutes or until apples are tender. Basting occasionally keeps the apples moist. Serve warm with icecream.
