Ingredients
2 tablespoons vegetable oil4 cloves garlic, chopped1/2 pound ground beef1/2 small head cabbage, shredded1 red bell pepper, cut into strips2 tablespoons soy sauce1 teaspoon cornstarch1/2 cup water1 teaspoon ground black peppe
Directions
Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, and add oil. Saute garlic for about 5 seconds, then add ground beef. Stir-fry until beef is evenly brown. Stir in cabbage and pepper, and cook until vegetables are tender, and beef is fully cooked. Stir in soy sauce. Mix together cornstarch and water, and stir in. Season with pepper. Cook, stirring, until sauce has thickened.

    I would give this five stars if the recipe called for beef steak strips instead of ground beef. There are inexpensive and flavorfull cuts of beef steak that when cut into thin stips can be easily tenderized. And, also, do yourself a favor and add a teaspoon of shredded ginger or ginger paste. - 2/26/13
