Ingredients
1 cup butter2 c granulated sugar3 eggs6 c flour6 t baking powder1 lb dried currants2 t ground nutmeg1 t salt3/4 c milk1 t vanilla
Directions
Makes 6 dozen

Mix butter, sugar, flourr, baking powder, nutmeg and salt in a large bowl, by hand, to pie crust consistency. When mixed, add eggs, vanilla and milk. Add currants when combined.
Roll dough to approx 1/4" thickness. Cut into 2-3 inch circles. Fry on dry pan until golden brown on both sides. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
