Low Fat banana pumpkin bread

Ingredients
1 cup whole wheat flour3/4 c all purpose flour1/2 c sugar (brown-should be packed or white)1 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt3/4 c mashed very ripe banana1/4 c canned pumpkin1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce2 large egg whites1 large egg1/4 c chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
Blend all dry ingredients together in one bowl and all wet ingredients in another. Mix together until just moistened. Sprinkle nuts on top or blend them in- depends on your preference. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven. Takes 40-50 minutes depending on your oven. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out mostly clean. cool in pan on rack for 10 min, then remove from pan and cool completely on rack. Makes 16 servings depending on how you slice it.
