Greek Chickpea Salad

Ingredients
2 cans (16oz each) chickpeas, drained and rinsed3 plum tomatoes, diced3 celery stalks, finely diced3 scallions, sliced thinly1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted and chopped8 basil leaves, chiffonade (shredded)1 tablespoon olive oil3 lemons, juicedsalt to tastefreshly ground black pepper
Directions
Combine the chick peas in a large bowl with the remaining ingredients. Toss well and taste for seasoning. Serve at room temperature or chilled. (can be made in advance and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days).
