500g lean minced beef, browned off (can use turkey mince)1 x 200g tin chopped tomatoes3 garlic gloves or about 3 inches garlic paste1tbsp of balsamic vinegar3 or 4 inches tomato puree
I divide this so I have 1/3 and my partner has 2/3:
Brown off mince, add puree/garlic/chopped tomatoes and stir well. Leave to simmer for 5 minutes then add balsamic vinegar. Leave simmering so that juice reduced, leaving a glossy coat over meat.
You can add mushrooms, pepper and onions but I usually don't as this is my quick and easy bolognaise with no preparation time version!
