chili powder can be from any chili you preferr ancho, habernero, jalapenoThe adobe sauce is an entire can of chipoltes placed in blender or food processor and pulsed until minced then 2 tablespoons added (approximately 2 peppers with sauce)
Brown beef in 1/2 butter then add to crock pot
Mix onions jalapeno garlic together in remaining butter and cook until onions turn translucent add the chili powder/cumin etc until mixed then add broth and scarpe allthe brown goodies off the pan (I like cast iron) be sureto add that stuff to the crockpot too
add crushed tomatoes - canned can be used I prefer to use fresh that I have frozen over the summer about 28 oz can
Put the lid on the crock pot and simmer on low for 9 hours (overnight all day)
It is best the longer it sits.
