Slow Cooker Split Pea & Ham Soup

* 16 oz Dried Split Peas (Washed, Sorted & Drained)* 8 oz Diced Ham* 8 oz Carrots (1/4 inch thick slices)* 4 oz Celery (1/4 inch thick slices)* 4 oz Onion (diced fine)* 2 Cloves Garlic (minced)* 1 Bay Leaf* 1 Tsp Black Pepper* 1 Tsp Dill Weed (dried)* 32 oz Low Sodium Chicken Broth* 8 oz Hot Water* Dash of Tabasco Sauce if desired
Layer ingredients in your crock pot in the order listed above. Add the low sodium chick broth then the hot water. Do not stir the ingredients together. You may cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 8-10 hours. Add tabasco sauce at the end if you desire.
