Ingredients
1 tbsp canola oil1 vidalia onion1 large green pepper1 tbsp chopped garlic3 tbsp McCormick Chili Powder1 tbsp Mrs. Dash Onion and Herb -no salt Onion and Herb2 tsp Mrs. Dash Fiesta Lime- no salt added1 package of 3lb Shady Brook Farm 85/15 ground turkey4 cans of Delmonte Diced tomato w/basil, garlic & oregano -no salt added1 can of light kidney beans(40.5 oz)**rinse
Directions
Make from 13-15 cups of chili. Brown the onions, garlic and green peppers in a pot with a tbsp of canola oil. Add the whole pack of family sized ground turkey and brown. Do not drain off the juice unless you want to. Add the beans(rinse a couple of times), cans tomatoes(even the juice) and season to taste. I did not add any salt to this recipe. Let boil for 30mins and then simmer for another 30mins until the chili has thickened up. Instead of own BELOVED cornbread, we made a salad to go with it.
