Beef Szechuan Stirfry

Ingredients
600 gm top sirloin steak, thinly sliced2 cups carrots, thinly sliced1/2 cup sweet red bell pepper, thinly sliced1/2 cup snow peas, ends trimmed1/4 cup asparagus, cut into 2 inch pieces3/4 cup broccoli, cut into florettes1 Tbsp canola oil2 Tbsp cornstarch6 Tbsp dry sherry1 cup oyster sauce1/2 cup water1/2 tsp crushed hot red pepper flakes2 tsp grated ginger1 clove garlic, crushed454 gm whole wheat or Smart pasta (I use spaghetinni)
Directions
Cook pasta according to package directions.
Heat oil in a large frying pan. Brown beef in batches, remove from pan.
Mix cornstarch, sherry, oyster sauce, water, and hot pepper flakes. Set aside.
Add carrots to hot pan and stir fry a few minutes.
Add remaining vegetables and stir fry a few minutes, but still somewhat crispy.
Add beef and sauce to pan. Heat until heated through and sauce has thickened.
Serve over pasta.
