Peanut Butter Crunch Cake

1 pkg. super-moist yellow cake mix1/2 cup brown sugar, packed1 cup peanut butter1 cup water1/4 canola oil3 eggs1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Grease 13x9 inch cake pan. Beat cake mix (dry), brown sugar, and peanut butter in large bowl on low speed until crumbly. Reserve 2/3 cup of the crumble mixture. Mix the rest with water, oil and eggs on low speed, scraping bowl constantly until moistened. Beat on medium speed, scraping bowl frequently, for 2 minutes. Pour batter into pan. Stir nuts into crumbly mixture, if desired. Sprinkle over batter. Sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Makes 24 2x2 pieces. (The nutritional content does not include extra nuts).
