Raw apple pie

Crust:1 c almonds11-19 datesFilling:3 large apples (but more can be used for larger pies)11 dates1 cup of water (or more if desired)cinnamon
Makes 8 slices
Crust:
Process almonds in a food processor with the s blade. Then add the dates; however, adding the dates in batches will help form the mixture.
Press the mixture in an 9 in pie pan. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Filling:
Grate apples in a food processor
Blend dates with water. You may want to add just a 1/2 cup first to see how the consistency is. Add more water if desired.
Cover the bottom of the pie pan with a layer of apples. Follow with a layer of the date blend. Repeat until the pie crust is full.
Options:
Sprinkle cinnamon after each layer of apples.
Put a bit of date blend in the center after the layers are done. Top with some apples. (for decoration)
Mix raisins with the apples.
