Chocolate Caramel Pecan Cake

Ingredients
Cooking spray for baking (with flour)1 box chocolate cake mix3 egg whites1-1/4 cups water1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce12 oz fat free caramel apple dip1 cup chopped pecans3 tbsp powdered sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350*F.
Spray a springform pan with cooking spray, preferably the kind with flour for baking.
Mix cake mix, egg whites, applesauce, and water.
Pour half the cake mixture into the pan.
Bake 15 min or until done.
When done, top with caramel dip.
Pour remaining cake mixture on top of caramel and top with pecans.
Bake 25 minutes or until done.
When cool, remove from pan and dust with powdered sugar.

    this cake was very good, not very healthy but very tasty..would make again for a family treat, made it for easter dinner dessert, everyone loved it,replaced the pecans with walnuts and used dark chocalate cake mix. - 3/24/08

    I used a bundt pan using walnuts, which are slightyl lower in calories and fat and eliminated the powdered sugar. Instead, I reserved just enough caramel and nuts to top the cooled cake. Everyone loved it. - 2/15/08
