Megan's Slow Cooker Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
2-28 oz. can diced tomatoes1-15 oz. can tomato sauce (optional)1 large onion, chopped2-4 cloves garlic, chopped or crushed2 T. dried basil2 t. oregano1/4 t. chili pepper flakes2 whole bay leaves2 T. balsamic vinegar1/4 c. olive oil
Directions
Put all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Makes approx. 12 - 1/2 c. servings.

Freezes well in 2-cup portions in freezer bags.

* Recipe is calculated with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Feel free to omit those if desired. You'll still get great tasting marinara sauce! :-) Also, substitute low-sodium diced tomatoes and tomato sauce if desired, for less salt.
