Mami's Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients
in medium size bowl~4.5 C. unbleached flour2 tsp. baking soda1 tsp. saltin large bowl~2 C. Crisco 1.5 C. brown sugar1.5 C. sugar stir by hand until completely creamed together 4 large eggs ~ add one at a time to batter, combining each before adding the next.2 tsp. REAL vanilla extract~ mix in wellAdd the flour mixture in 2 batches to the batter, combining fully after each addition.Add the chocolate chips and fold into batter, batter will be extremely thick and difficult to stir.....think of it as an upper arm workout!!*You can also add nuts, candies (like m&m's), toffee bits, chocolate covered raisins, whatever you choose!
Directions
Preheat oven to 375' and bake cookies on insulated baking sheets
combine flour, baking soda & salt in it's own bowl-set aside

combine crisco, brown sugar & sugar in large mixing bowl....now here's the secret to the best chocolate hip cookies coming up now.....HAND stir, with a wooden spoon, until completely combined. Add each egg, ONE AT A TIME, and incorporate completely before adding the next egg. Then add the flour, bs, & salt blend in 2 batches, combining into batter completely before adding second batch. Fold in 1.5 cups of your favorite chocolate chips (we like the Hersey's special dark chips)

Use a 1 ounce ice cream scoop, and space 8 cookies, 2" apart on the ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes, then cool cookies on a cookie rack.

make 4 dozen HUGE cookies.
