Chewy Granola Bars

Ingredients
• 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar • 1/2 cup honey • 1 Egg • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • 3/4 cup Flour (whole wheat, all purpose etc)• 1/4 cup Ground Flax Seed• 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon • 1 teaspoon baking soda • 4 cups rolled oats • 2 cups Stuff : mini chocolate chips, sliced almonds, dried cherries, craisens, raisens etc
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Lightly grease one 9x13 inch pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl mix the wet ingredients.
3. In 2 cup measuring cup, measure flour, then flax; to that add cinnamon & baking soda – stir to combine then mix in with wet ingredients.
4. Stir in the oatmeal & 2 cups of Stuff. Mix well.
5. Lightly press mixture into the prepared pan. Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 18 to 22 minutes or until golden brown. Press bars again fresh from oven, let cool for 10 minutes then cut into bars. Let bars cool completely in pan before removing or serving.
