Maritime Seafood Medley Soup

Ingredients
add oil to dutch oven and heat. saute chopped onions, garlic and celery until soft. add one large can tomatoes, drained (reserve juice) and stir for 3 minutes. puree red peppers, wine and reserved tomato juice and add to pan with 3 cups water, thyme, salt and pepper. bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer. crumble saffron, add, and simmer 15 minutes. add chopped yellow pepper and simmer another 5 minutes. add scallions (1/2 of green end removed). add mussels, haddock (cut into 12 pieces), shrimp and scallops. increase heat to med-high, cover and cook until mussels open, about 15 minutes.
