1 cup Red Fife whole wheat flour1/4 cup Brown Sugar (dark or light)1 cup regular or reduced fat buttermilk1 large egg1/2 tsp baking soda1 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt
Mix the wet together, the dry together (wisk the powder for good mixing) and then carefully fold them together. Don't overmix, so they stay tender, and cook on a gentle medium heat (too hot and the sugar in them burns) They're very soft, so be careful when you flip them! If you use dark brown sugar, they get crispy edges.
