Ingredients
Whole Wheat Flour, 1.15 cup Water, tap, 100 mL Canola Oil, 1 1tsp Baking Powder, 0.5 tsp Salt, 0.5 tsp
Directions
Mix the wholemeal, salt ,oil , baking powder in a medium sized bowl. Pour in 90ml of water to make a smooth dough. On a lightly floured board knead the dough until elastic. Divide the dough into 5 pieces, depending on the size or tortilla desired. Place a ball of dough between two well oiled pieces of greaseproof paper (or use silicon paper). Roll the dough out into a circle of approx 16 cm (6 inches) in diameter. Spray 2 puffs of oil into your frying pan. Peel off the top layer of paper and place the tortilla upside down in the pan. Cook for approx 2 minutes on a medium heat until start golden. Remove the paper on top, flip the tortilla over and cook the other side for approx 2 minutes. Both sides should be quite pale and dry. Keep the tortillas warm for serving.
NB: We used baking powder to make the Tortillas more lighter by adding half teaspoon.
