Yet Another (Fruity) Green Monster
- Minutes to Prepare:
- Number of Servings: 1
Ingredients
Directions
1 scoop Nectar Sweetz Vanilla Protein Powder2 cups fresh spinach1/2 frozen banana2 frozen strawberries1 small sliced apricot1/2 tsp (less probably, I eyeballed it) Guar Gum1 tbsp sugar free almond roca torani syrup1 single serve cup breakstones 2% cottage cheese
Dump all ingredients into a blender (I used the large cup of my Magic Bullet) and blend to desired consistency.
The cottage cheese whirls up nice and smooth, the frozen fruits give it a creamy cold texture and the spinach, while obvious in color, disappears from taste completely behind the fruits.
I've seen a ton of Green Monster recipes and have had a few good ones. This one was just using what I had in the house and despite the seemingly odd combination, it turned out delish! (and who can complain about 36 grams of protein, almost no fat, and great taste for under 300 calories?)
Serving Size: makes 1 VERY filling shake
Number of Servings: 1
