Apple Pie Kefir Smoothie

Ingredients
1 cup of kefir (I like to make my own)1 appleQuarter tsp of ground cinnamonEighth teaspoon of ground nutmeg3 ice cubesYou could probably add a little natural sweetener if it's not sweet enough for you, but I prefer mine a little sour
Directions
Cut apple into quarters and remove core
Steam until apple if soft and skin is coming away from apple flesh
Allow apple to cool and remove skin
Pour kefir into ba-mix/blender
Add apple, cinnamon, nutmeg and ice
Blend until it reaches your desired consistency
Enjoy while it's nice and cold!

    We made this with some minor adjustments. I didn't cook the apple because I was in a hurry. I did use some truvia because the apples we have are sort of tart. My only recommendation is to use A LOT more ice cubes. we will be having this again! - 3/11/12
