CL: Turkey Chili with Chipotle & Chocolate

1 c. diced onion1 chopped red bell pepper1 chopped green bell pepper1 tsp. minced garlic1.25 lb. ground turkey breast3 TB brown sugar2 TB chili powder (chipotle better)1 TB unsweetened cocoa1 tsp. ground cumin1/2 tsp. black pepper1/4 tsp. salt2, 15 oz. cans pinto beans, drained & rinsed2 cans diced tomatoes, undrained1, 14 oz. can fat free, low sodium broth2 chipotle chilis, canned in adobo sauce, minced (optional-- adds a LOT of heat)2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, choppedchopped green onionsoptional light sour cream for garnish
Coat pan w/ cooking spray & add onion, bell pepper, garlic & turkey-- sautee until turkey is browned & veggies are tender.
Add sugar through chipotle peppers to the pan & bring to a boil-- reduce heat and simmer 15 min or until slightly thickened.
Add chocolate, stirring to melt.
Ladle 1.25 c. of chili into each of 8 bowls & top w/ any optional sour cream or green onions.
