Too good!!! I would use less splenda next time. I also added a mashed banana to it. It did not last very long in my house!!! - 2/19/08

i used almond milk and agave nectar instead of the milk and splenda. I also used cinnamon raisin bread. Unbelievable! - 1/15/10

I made a recipe VERY similar to this only was out of milk so I used Evaporated skim milk but did not add water. YUMMMMM I also put the raisins in the measured milk to soak a little before adding. - 7/1/09

I soaked my raisins in a tsp of vanilla, added 1/2 c chopped apples and chopped walnuts. It was gone immediately. Great for breakfast treat. Easy and yummy. - 9/1/09

Turned out quite well. Just a little too sweet for me. I would cut back on the splenda next time. - 7/23/07

I don't use artificial sweeteners like splenda. I feel they are unsafe and unhealthy. I'm considering Stevia. Does anyone know how to convert 1/2 of splenda into anything else, like Stevia? - 7/1/09

A little bowl of heaven! I've never made or eaten bread pudding so I wasn't even sure what I was aiming for. I used fresh blueberries as they're cheap and in season now and doubled the cinnamon.I also threw in some WW english muffins as I didn't have enough bread. Now its the NEW craving in our house - 7/29/09

That Splenda is being marketed so freely and pervasively is most concerning given that there are currently NO large studies underway researching the safety of this artificial sweetener.

    IS SPLENDA SAFE? - 10/27/10

This is soooooooooo scrumptious!!! I divided it into 6 servings to make the servings a little more generous and that makes the calories 161 per serving. - 8/30/09

This was a great recipe. I substituted whole wheat for diet wheat to lower calories. Very easy and quick to make. - 8/29/09

Changed this recipe around a bit by not adding the margaine at all and throwing in a scoup of unflavoured protien powder and it was still very good - 3/31/07

I omitted the Splenda from this recipe and replaced it with 1 tablespoon of sugar. To add sweetness, my husband topped his pudding with corn syrup. I topped mine with sweetened rhubarb and strawberries. Delicious, but 10 servings? Not in my house! Maybe 4!!!! - 9/5/09

Very easy - I usually add pitted cherries instead than raisins - 8/31/09

Love this lowfat version. I am a big fan of bread pudding. Hubby even liked it and did not know it had splenda in it. Thanks for a great recipe. A definate keeper. - 11/10/07

I used this as a base recipe using very dry peanut butter muffins in place of the bread. I omitted the raisins and sprinkled chocolate chips on top instead. My family loved it and I didn't have to feel guilty throwing away some really tasteless muffins! :) - 5/11/11

Used part raisins, part cranberries, one whole egg instead of 3 egg whites, agave syrup instead of spenda and almond milk. Great way to use up some whole wheat dinner rolls! Thanks for the inspiration! (NOTE: Made this again Sep 26: Cranberries /pears, oil not butter, brown sugar. YUMMY again!! - 10/27/10

I've been making bread puddding for over 45 years. I lost my own recipe and have been looking for one to replace it. I wish I could say it was good, but I had an isssue with the recipe. The ratio of bread to liquid ingredients was off. Still, tasty, but not what I'm used to. - 4/10/10

I don't measure my liquid. I just put the ingredients in the baking dish and then mix the eggs and milk together. I fill it to the top of the bread and bake it.
