Traditional Shortbread

Ingredients
1/2 Cup Corn Starch1/2 Cup Icing Sugar1 Cup Flour3/4 Cup Butter, softened
Directions
Blend all ingredients together, creaming the butter until a dough forms.

Form into small balls, about 1 inch. Space 1.5 inches apart on ungreased pan. Press with a fork and decorate at will. Bake at 300 degrees for 15-20 minutes until lightly brown around the edges.

Very rich.

    I used whole wheat flour and doubled the recipe, pressing it into a bar pan and cutting into 60 pieces. Took a lot longer to cook though, 45-50 mins I think. - 2/12/08
