strawberry cupcakes

Ingredients
1 box white cake mix3 eggs2 Tbsp granulated sugar1 16oz bag frozen sliced strawberries (no added sugar)1 cup water
Directions
thaw strawberries in a bowl. add sugar and water to bowl, mix well and refrigerate so that syrup can thicken. when syrup is ready drain strawberries, reserve syrup. combine cake mix in bowl with the eggs and 3/4 cup of the syrup. discard remaining syrup. then mix in strawberries. fill paper lined muffin cups about 2/3 full. bake on 350 for 18 minutes. remove from oven and cool. frost if desired- frosting not included in nutritional info.
