  • Number of Servings: 20
Ingredients
3 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour1/3 cup milk1/4 cup honey1 cup warm water1 1/4 teaspoons salt1/4 cup olive oil1 packet dry yeas
Directions
Add the yeast to the warm water and let ferment for about 15 minutes or until the yeast has foamed up.
While the yeast is activating, combine the milk, honey, salt, and oil. Add the yeast when ready. Mix in flour until combined. Knead on a floured surface for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth. Place in a lightly oiled bowl, rotating the dough to cover with oil. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and then a towel and let sit for an hour or so until doubled in size. The time depends on how warm the room is.
On a lightly floured surface, form the dough into an 8 inch log and place in an oiled loaf pan. Cover with plastic wrap and a towel again and let set until doubled. About another hour.
Cook for 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven and then place foil lightly over the top of the bread and cook for another 20 minutes. To test for doneness, thump the bottom of the bread pan and if it sounds hollow, you are good to go.
