Ingredients
Directions
10 smoked Red Jalapeno Peppers, stemmed6 Smoked Cayenne Peppers, stemmed1 Tbs Garlic Powder1 Tbs Ground Cumin Seed1/2 Tbs Ground Tumeric
Wash peppers, set your smoker to about 175 F, add hickory chunks and slow smoke the peppers for about 5 hours,(do not burn them).
I finish drying them in a dehydrator for about 1 hour.
Mix with other ingredients in a coffee or spice mill and grind until fine, store in an air tight container. Use sparingly, as the cayenne will give it a bit of an extra bite!
Serving Size: Makes about 1/3 cup of chili powder
