Ingredients
Directions
2 quarts skim milk2c non-fat dry milk1/2c plain Greek yogurt, for a starter
Add the milk and dry milk to a pot. Heat on Med heat until it reaches 180 degrees. Keep an eye on it so it doesn't boil!
Once at 180, hold it around that temp for 13-15 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool to 110 degrees. (I pour mine through a mesh filter into a stainless bowl that I have sitting in water in the sink...just to speak up the cooling of process and remove any dry milk lumps that didn't dissolve)
Once at 110 degrees, use a whisk to mix in your 1/2 of Greek yogurt starter. Pour into container and place in a warm area for 12-15 hours. (I use my oven and just turn the light on for the whole time. the light puts out enough heat to keep my oven around 105-110 degrees...perfect for yogurt!)
Chill and enjoy!
