Spicy Fruit Muffins

Ingredients
2 c whole wheat flour3 tsp baking powder1 tsp salt1/8 tsp cloves1/4 tsp nutmeg1 c shredded pared apple2/3 c Splenda brown sugar1/2 c chopped walnuts1/2 c egg beaters1 c apple juice1/4 c butter, melted1 c bran flakes
Directions
Sift together first 5 ingredients. Stir in apple, brown sugar and nuts. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, juice and melted butter. Stir into apple mixture just until blended. Fold in bran flakes. Scoop into oiled muffin tins, filling each cup about 2/3 full. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
