Sweet Chili Thai Sauce

Ingredients
1/3 cup sugar1/2 cup rice vinegar1/2 cup water1 tsp garlic powder2 tsp fresh chopped (or jarred) ginger1 tsp red chili pepper flakes2 tsp ketchup2 tsp cornstarch
Directions
Place all ingredients in a small pot. Whisk to combine. Put over heat, continuing to whisk constantly. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer. Simmer 5 minutes and then let cool.
