general tao chicken

1 lb cook chicken tenders (cut into 1 inch cubes)1 tbs canola oil1 tbs minced garlic (or more to taste)1 tbs minced ginger (or more)2/3 cup vegetable stock1/4 cup sugar2 tbs soy sauce1 tbs white vinegarCrushed red pepper to taste1 tbs cornstarch+2 tbs water (slurry)
1.Heat canola oil in a saute pan over medium heat
2. saute garlic and ginger (do not let burn)
3. add vegetable stock, sugar, soy sauce, white vinegar, crushed red pepper.
4. stir cornstarch and water toghether and add to the pan
5. bring to a boil for 2 minutes
6. add chicken, let heat through.
Add steamed broccoli or onions if you want.
Serving Size: makes about 2 servings (easily doubled)
